Marine AC and Refrigeration Junior Technician

The successful marine air conditioning technician will have:

Mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.

Customer relationship and interpersonal skills.

Organizational and time management skills.

Verbal and written communications skills.

The ability to work in remote locations and accomplish basic to complex tasks with occasional supervision.

 

Experience and Training:

One year of air conditioning and refrigeration experience on systems ranging from household sized refrigeration to basic air conditioning and chiller troubleshooting, maintenance and repair.

NATE, RSES, ABYC or other National Refrigeration or AC certification.

Vocational technical school or accredited college credit hours in the field of ACR/HVAC.

 

Requirements:

EPA Section 608 Certification.

Valid driver’s license.

Must Pass Pre-employment Drug Screening test.

Must pass Pre-employment criminal background check.

Possess basic hand tools, gauge manifolds, temperature and electrical meters and other tools a junior technician needs. 

The ability to pass a written test on the basic fundamentals of an AC/refrigeration circuit, theory and common components when applying for work.
